Getting Started

Set up your workspace

Create your organization, describe your company, and configure the basics Cortex needs to be useful.

Setting up Brainis takes a few minutes. The more context you give it up front, the better every AI feature works from day one.

Create your organization

Sign up and the onboarding wizard walks you through three steps: your company name, industry, and size; your plan (start a 30-day trial of a paid plan, or begin on Free; you can change later); and inviting your first teammates. Nothing here is permanent - you can rename the organization and switch plans at any time.

Tell Brainis about your company

Cortex grounds its answers in what it knows about you. Two places feed it:

  • Company profile (Command Center, Company Profile): what you do, your model, your goals.
  • Company knowledge (Command Center, Knowledge): documents, answers to the knowledge survey, and anything else worth remembering.

An hour spent here noticeably improves the quality of plays, briefs, and answers.

Configure your modules

Open the Company station and visit each OS you plan to use. Each module has a short first-run setup: pipelines and stages in Revenue OS, departments in People OS, a first project in Work OS. Modules you skip stay dormant and cost nothing.

Set your autonomy comfort level

Out of the box, AI suggests rather than acts. When you are ready, open Command Center, Autonomy to raise or lower how much the AI may do per module. See Autonomy levels.

Tip: Start with autonomy low and raise it as trust builds. Approving a few AI proposals is the fastest way to learn what it would have done on its own.
