Getting Started

Import your data

Bring in your existing records with the import hub, connect integrations, and let AI map your columns.

1 min read

You do not start from zero. Brainis imports the data you already have.

The import hub

Command Center, Import accepts spreadsheet files (CSV and Excel) for the major record types: contacts and deals, candidates, employees, tasks and projects. Column detection is AI-assisted - upload a file and Brainis proposes a mapping from your columns to its fields, which you confirm or adjust before anything is written.

What to import first

1
People - your employee list makes org charts, assignment, and approvals work everywhere else.
2
Contacts and deals - so Revenue OS reflects your live pipeline.
3
Open work - active tasks and projects, so Work OS starts truthful rather than empty.

Historical archives can wait; Brainis is most useful on live data.

Connected sources

Integrations reduce what you need to import manually. Slack, Google Calendar, and Microsoft 365 connect natively today; see Integrations overview for the current catalog and what each one syncs.

Documents and knowledge

Upload company documents in Command Center, Knowledge. They become searchable and feed Cortex's grounding, so answers cite your actual policies and plans rather than generic advice.

Important: Imports are permission-checked like everything else: you need admin access to the target module to import into it.
