Jobs and pipelines

Define roles, design hiring stages that predict outcomes, and keep requisitions honest.

A job in Brainis carries the role definition, the pipeline, the hiring team, and its public posting.

Creating a job

Title, department, location, employment type, and the requirements. Cortex can draft the description from a short brief; edit it rather than posting the first draft, since job descriptions are marketing.

Pipeline stages

A default pipeline covers applied, screening, interview, offer, hired, and rejected. Customize per job when the process genuinely differs; resist customizing for its own sake, because comparable stages across jobs are what make hiring analytics useful.

The hiring team

Assign a recruiter and hiring manager per job. Interviewers get access to the candidates they are scheduled with. Permissions here follow module levels in Hiring OS.

Requisition hygiene

Close jobs you are no longer hiring for. Open requisitions with no activity distort your funnel metrics and mislead candidates who applied weeks ago.

Tip: The stalled-candidate signal is the highest-value one in this module. Candidates sitting in a stage for days are the most common and most fixable failure in hiring.
