In Brainis, Notion's job belongs mostly to Knowledge AI, with the task half in Work AI. Notion is where your company writes things down, and it's excellent at that. A page that describes a process and a system that runs one are different things.

Your problem is that nothing is written down
If what people know is scattered across heads and chat threads, Notion fixes that directly, cheaply, and in a way people actually adopt. That's a real problem and a real fix.
You'd rather have a blank page than a set way of working
Notion imposes almost nothing. Teams that want to invent their own structure get further, faster, there than in any product with a set way of working, including this one.
You're small enough that one person can hold it in their head
Two or three founders can keep track of where things stand, what they decided and what's next between them. Software that formalises that is overhead until it stops fitting in a head.
You want documents to stay documents
Notion's databases are a fine way to keep structured notes. If you don't want your notes to start acting (creating work, spending money, sending things), then you don't want what Brainis adds.

What each of us charges for.
Notion is per seat, with AI often sold as an add-on, and at the low end it's cheap enough that the comparison barely matters. Brainis prices differently: each plan sets a number of seats and how much I may do on my own, AI credits pay for the AI work, and you see each cost before I run it. Seats beyond the plan's number cost extra, per seat. If you're choosing a place to write things down, Notion is cheaper and better at it.
