Brainis vs HubSpot

You run HubSpot today and are deciding whether Brainis replaces it, joins it, or isn’t for you. The honest answer is below — including the part where HubSpot wins.

HubSpot is a serious product with a serious ecosystem. This page is about the difference between running revenue and running the company.

02Category difference

HubSpot is a CRM and marketing platform. Brainis is a company system.

HubSpot's job maps to Revenue AI inside Brainis — and to part of Marketing AI. HubSpot is deep, well integrated, and has a partner ecosystem no new product can match. The difference is scope and shape: HubSpot runs the revenue function extremely well; Brainis runs the loop that decides what the company should do next across every function, and delivers it through governed agents working inside real products, revenue included.

03When HubSpot is enough

Stay on HubSpot if this is you.

This section is not a set-up. If one of these describes your company, HubSpot is the better buy and we would rather you knew that here.

  • Revenue is the function you need to run, and run properly

If the job is pipeline, sequences, marketing automation, and reporting for a sales team, HubSpot is a mature answer with a decade of refinement and an enormous ecosystem behind it. That is not a small thing to walk away from.

  • You need the integration ecosystem

Hundreds of apps, agencies who know the product, and people you can hire who already know it. Brainis has a small connector catalog today and says so on its own integrations page.

  • Your marketing motion depends on HubSpot-specific tooling

Landing pages, forms, lifecycle stages, and attribution reporting are built into a workflow your team already knows. Rebuilding that elsewhere costs real months.

  • You are not looking for software with authority

HubSpot automates within the revenue function under permissions you set. If you do not want software deciding what the company should do next, the extra machinery in Brainis is machinery you will not use.

04When you need the loop

What Brainis adds, and the mechanism that adds it.

Each of these names the part of the system doing the work — state, missions, Verify, autonomy — and links the page that proves it.

  • When the constraint is not in the pipeline

A CRM can tell you the pipeline is thin. It cannot tell you whether the fix is pricing, positioning, hiring, or product. Company State spans goals, customers, money, and commitments as one model.

    C-020See Company State
  • When the decision should come with the future attached

The Strategy Engine models the alternatives before recommending one, and predictions carry a range and a model version rather than a single confident number.

    C-021See Strategy Engine
  • When agents work the pipeline instead of prompting you about it

Agents act inside the real CRM through governed MCP tool calls, with each agent given only the context and tools its mission allows.

    C-024See Brainis MCP
  • When AI output has to be checked before it reaches a customer

Independent quality agents verify deliverables against acceptance criteria, and the agent that produced the work is never the one that grades it.

    C-030See Verify

05Side by side

Grouped by what the loop actually does.

Verifiable capabilities only. The HubSpot column describes what HubSpot does; it never asserts a limitation we have not checked. Where HubSpot is better, the row says so.

Understand

What the system knows about your company.

  • A single live model of the company — goals, customers, money, commitments

    • HubSpot

Contacts, companies, deals, tickets, and marketing engagement — genuinely deep, and the authoritative revenue record in most companies that run it.

      Brainis

One live model, every fact carrying its source, its freshness, and a confidence score.

      C-020See Company State
  • Revenue tooling depth and ecosystem

    • HubSpot

Sequences, lifecycle stages, attribution, landing pages, forms, a large app marketplace, and a partner network. HubSpot is deeper here than Brainis is, and will be for a long time.

      HubSpot is better here

      Brainis

Revenue AI is a real CRM with pipeline and forecasting, operated by agents rather than by a person clicking through it.

Decide

How the next move gets chosen.

  • Alternative futures modelled before a path is recommended

    • HubSpot

Forecasting projects the pipeline you have. Modelling company-level alternatives is outside a CRM's job.

      Brainis

The Strategy Engine models the options first; change a constraint and the recommendation changes.

      C-021See Strategy Engine
  • How a forecast is expressed

    • HubSpot

Forecast categories and projections based on pipeline data and historical close rates.

      Brainis

Predictions carry a range and a model version, stay honest-wide until calibration justifies narrowing, and abstain rather than guess.

Deliver

How the work actually gets done.

  • How an approved plan becomes work

    • HubSpot

Workflows and sequences fire from triggers you configure inside HubSpot.

      Brainis

Approved strategy compiles into dependency-aware missions with owners, budgets, and acceptance criteria.

  • Where the AI does its work

    • HubSpot

Breeze assists people working in HubSpot — drafting, summarising, and suggesting inside the CRM.

      Brainis

Inside the real products — the CRM, the ATS, work management, campaigns — through governed MCP tool calls.

  • What an automation is allowed to touch

    • HubSpot

Workflows and integrations act on HubSpot objects under the permissions you grant them.

      Brainis

Authority contracts scope every act by action, domain, value, risk, reversibility, time, and owner.

      C-033See Autonomy

Verify

What has to be true before it counts as done.

  • An independent check before work counts as done

    • HubSpot

Outside what a CRM is for — a deal stage moves when a person or a workflow moves it.

      Brainis

Independent quality agents check each deliverable against its acceptance criteria — and can reject it.

      C-025See Verify
  • Who grades the work

    • HubSpot

Outside what a CRM is for — a deal stage moves when a person or a workflow moves it.

      Brainis

Never the agent that produced it. High-risk work is checked by a different model family.

      C-030See Verify
  • Your own standards as checks

    • HubSpot

Outside what a CRM is for — a deal stage moves when a person or a workflow moves it.

      Brainis

Acceptance criteria you write become Verify checks — authored once, composed into libraries, enforced per domain.

      C-043See Verify
  • How a finished deliverable reaches you

    • HubSpot

Outside what a CRM is for — HubSpot tracks the record, not an artifact review against criteria.

Learn

What the outcome changes.

  • What happens to a decision after it is made

    • HubSpot

Reports show what closed and what did not. Recording the prediction and grading it later is not part of the product.

      Brainis

Predicted and actual outcomes land in the Decision Ledger and change the next recommendation.

  • Whether the forecast was any good

    • HubSpot

06Coexistence & migration

Running both is the expected path, not a failure.

Connector depth today
There is no HubSpot connector in the live catalog today — and for a CRM, connector depth is the whole question, so we will not pretend otherwise. Reading your deals and acting in your CRM are different promises, and today Brainis can do neither against HubSpot.See Integrations
What imports
Contacts, companies, and deals come across by CSV with field mapping through the product's CRM importer. Sequences, workflows, landing pages, and attribution models do not.
What stays in HubSpot
Most companies evaluating this should keep HubSpot running the revenue function and use Brainis for the decisions above it. Consolidation, if it happens, is a later decision made with evidence.
Leaving whenever you want
Export through the admin data wizard, and hitting zero AI credits never locks your data or your non-AI workflows.C-032See Pricing

07Pricing

What each of you is charging for.

HubSpot prices per seat by hub and tier, with contact-tier pricing on the marketing side and onboarding fees at the higher tiers — the total is genuinely hard to predict, which is a common complaint and a fair one. Brainis prices capacity: a seat band, connectors, concurrency, and an autonomy ceiling per plan, plus AI credits for agent work, with the cost of each credit-consuming action shown before it runs. Seats above the band are charged per seat. That is a simpler shape, but it is a different product with a much smaller ecosystem, so cost is not the argument we would lead with here.

Brainis is free to start, paid plans from $29 a month. See Pricing
